Woody Ray New (b. 2002) is Cornish photographer studying at Falmouth University. By using photography as a tool to explore the world of natural history in a creative manner, Woody strives to document the abundance of life and community so under threat in our age.

Currently he is often found rolling around in the mud and rain. By creating a platform for the overlooked role domestic farmyard animals play in small scale agriculture, Woody advocates a more sustainable practice in the farming industry. Focusing on locality and community he explores the crossovers between animal and human life in rural Cornish settings.

Woody has curated and exhibited work in different areas around the Southwest of England such as Falmouth’s, Gray’s Wharf Gallery, and has had various publications, including an international cover story for a conservation magazine, Woop Woop.
